Triangle AMA is one of 78 local chapters which represents the 40,000-member international organization. With more than 400 members, the Triangle chapter supports monthly educational programs, special interest groups, networking socials and training camps to bring together Greater Raleigh area marketing executives and managers.
“As a relative newcomer to Raleigh, the Triangle and the American Marketing Association, I’m excited to help lead and support one of the strongest marketing associations in the area working with marketers of all levels from agencies, companies and universities across the region. I look forward to helping to engaging our members and helping to enhance membership value.” said Motley.
In her role, Motley is responsible for establishing and managing a committee that will create and distribute all on and offline marketing and communications efforts for the chapter, including social media, public relations, community/ media outreach, event communications and branding. Her goals include developing the chapter’s first strategic marketing and communications plan, identifying and establishing external / internal communications processes and driving brand awareness of the chapter.
Christina Motley is a relative newcomer and marketing consultant with ChristinaMotley.com (@christinamotley) in Raleigh. With 20+ years of experience in marketing, communications and public relations, she has contributed to the growth and sale of a marketing agency and a multi-million technology firm in Virginia. Throughout her career, she has worked in many industries, including higher education, healthcare, nonprofit, economic development and Fortune 500 organizations. She is a published writer and author with nearly 200 awards for her creative and leadership talents.
She holds a dual degree in Communications and English from Virginia Tech, where she has also served as adjunct faculty and a founding member of the Virginia Tech Communications Alumni Advisory Board. In addition to the Triangle Chapter of the American Marketing Association, she is an active member of the Communication Network and the National Federation of Press Women. She is a Girl Scouts of America Gold Awardee and lifetime member, and a past board member of the Blue Ridge Virginia Chapter of Public Relations Society of America and Junior Achievement of Southwest Virginia.
