As a strategic, integrated marketing executive, award-winning content developer and published author, Christina has a career record for exceeding business goals. Dedicated to sustainable, profitable growth through strategic marketing plans and long-term relationships, she has served as a key player, generating $15M at Datatel (now Ellucian) and $5B and the 3000th store opening for Advance Auto Parts. She helped grow Comprehensive Computer Solutions, Inc. (CCS) from $12K to over $2M and expanded the company into international markets. She achieved 150% of sale goals at The O’Connor Group and increased her own agency revenues 30% year-over-year prior to selling the company.

Throughout her career, she has worked with many of the Fortune 500 brands, including including Aetna, Advance Auto Parts, BB&T, Dell, HSBC, IBM, Johnson & Johnson, P&G, Smithfield Foods, Waste Management. She has served clients across such industries as healthcare, higher education, technology, retail / eCommerce, economic development, human resources and nonprofit among others. As a well-known and respected marketer, Christina founded and managed an agency in 1992 that was named the Best Local Agency in Southwest Virginia and awarded the Roanoke Regional Chamber Small Business of the Year (Virginia) two consecutive years. She merged the agency in 2003, received designation as an American Association of Advertising Agency (4 As) and managed the transition efforts, prior to selling in 2005.

Christina has over 300 awards for her leadership, creativity, writing and results across all marketing and communications channels, including multiple ADDY Awards from the American Advertising Association, the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), the Higher Education Marketing Report, the Printing Industry of America, Graphic Design USA, the Southern Economic Development Council and National Federation of Press Women.

EVENT KEYNOTE SPEAKER

A popular keynote speaker, Christina provides presentations on all things marketing and leadership. In addition, she currently serves on the Board of Advisors for Career Pro, Inc. and hosts “Ask the CMO” for HQ Raleigh. Nationally, she is a member of the American Marketing Association (AMA), the National Speakers Association, the Association of Strategic Marketing (ASM), the National Federation of Press Women (NFPW) and Girl Scouts of America (GSA). In the Research Triangle of North Carolina, she is an active member of the Triangle American Marketing Association (AMA), having served on the Executive Team and Board of Directors as VP of Marketing and Communications from 2011-2013.

PUBLICATION BACKGROUND

Christina’s second book – Reflections of A 150 Year History:  Roanoke County, Virginia Fire & Rescue (Signature Book Printing) – was released in 2014, along with her third book Leadership Philosophies from Unsung Leaders in 2014 and are available on Amazon. . Her first book – The Greater Roanoke Region: Your Open Door to Technology, Education and Scenic Beauty (1997 Platinum Publishing), continues to generate awareness and tourism for Roanoke Valley, Virginia.

She has published hundreds of articles in regional, national and international publications, as well as daily newspapers, has been interviewed and quoted in the same, and has successfully earned coverage for her clients in print and online, domestic and international media outlets, including the Associated Press, Forbes, Media General, The New York Times, Boston Globe, Wall Street Journal, Good Housekeeping, NPR, ABC, NBC and CBS.

HIGHER EDUCATION BACKGROUND

Christina has taught senior-level courses for Virginia Tech, professional courses for many North Carolina Community Colleges and ASPE-ROI, a division of Fortis College. She holds a dual Bachelor’s Degree in Communications (Journalism) and English, an Executive Certificate in Internet Marketing from St. Louis University’s John C. Cook Business School, and is a graduate of Advance Auto Parts University Leadership program. She is also a Leadership Roanoke Valley graduate and a Girl Scout Gold Award recipient.
